Field Scouting
We provide comprehensive field scouting services tailored to your crop production needs. Our experienced team conducts regular or as-needed field visits to assess plant health, monitor fertility levels, and identify weed, insect, and disease pressures. Scouting is available for a wide range of crops, including specialty crops such as potatoes, sugar beets, pulses, and cereals. Each visit provides timely insights to support informed decision-making and optimize crop performance throughout the growing season.
Grid Sampling & Interpretations
Grid soil sampling involves dividing the field into smaller management zones and collecting geo-referenced soil samples from each zone. This intensive sampling method offers a more detailed understanding of soil nutrient variability compared to conventional composite sampling. By pinpointing in-field differences, grid sampling enables more precise fertility recommendations and targeted input applications, ultimately supporting better crop performance and sustainable land management.
Soil Sampling
Our specialized track truck minimizes soil compaction and allows for efficient sampling across various field conditions. We offer both grid and composite soil sampling methods, providing accurate, geo-referenced data to support precise fertility planning and management decisions.
Drone Imagery
We utilize drone technology to capture high-resolution imagery, including NDVI and multispectral data, to assess crop biomass, identify variability, and detect potential issues such as pest pressure, nutrient deficiencies, and disease hotspots. Our imagery services can also support the creation of drainage maps, crop staging analysis, and are compatible with platforms like FarmEvo for enhanced data integration and decision support.
Field Trials
We conduct ongoing field trials to evaluate the performance and efficacy of agronomic products and practices specific to Southern Alberta's growing conditions. Collaborating with growers, manufacturers, and processors, we generate localized data to support practical, research-backed recommendations.
Potato Sampling
Our single-row potato harvester enables efficient digging for sample collection, variety evaluations, and small-plot trials. This service is ideal for assessing new cultivars, monitoring crop development, or conducting research trials in commercial or research settings.
